AUGMENTED REALITY
What is Augmented Reality?
Augmented Reality (also known as AR) literally means ‘added reality’. That is exactly how it works as well: an AR application scans the world around you, recognizes your environment and adds something to it.
How does Augmented Reality work?
With AR, a mobile device, such as a smartphone or tablet, shows a live image of reality. This reality is then supplemented with digital 3D objects generated by the device. Consider, for example, Snapchat filters or digital 3D objects of furniture, clothing, products, etc. But you can also make the teaching material interactive, for example by adding a realistic heart in AR that can be explored by the students.
On which devices can I see AR, what hardware and software do I need?
For Augmented Reality you only need a smartphone or a tablet.
How can I apply AR?
With Augmented Reality, you and your customer can easily place and view the product in your own environment. For example, you can link AR with a QR code to your brochure, website, book, label, or folder. Moreover, you can already show customers in the showroom what larger purchases will look like in reality. Customers can also see at home how furniture will look in their own home! AR is also an excellent tool to add special storytelling to your product, which increases interactivity and involvement with users.
Why should I use AR?
You can easily view every object in detail in every possible combination. In addition, the use of AR is a great sales tool: you distinguish yourself from the competition, you create marketing that literally stands out and you promote customer contact.
Augmented Reality plays with the senses, so that it often leaves a lasting memory with customers. AR also has a high attention value and is easy to use. Another side effect is that the customer can better visualize the purchase, which reduces the chance of bad buys and returns.
What is StickyLock’s method regarding AR?
StickyLock works on a project basis, entirely on edge specification, and with standard products. The standard products can be converted on a project basis into a specific application for you!
What are the advantages of the standard products?
The standard products are:
- Inexpensive to purchase.
- Can be used immediately.
- Developed and stable.
- Easy to use.
There are three standard products:
- Own application
- Shared application
- AR scanner
- How does your own AR application work and what are the costs?
The customer receives a copy of an existing application, this copy is adjusted for the customer. This means that it will be published under your name in the Google Play and Apple stores and will be provided with your own logo. The application remains standard software. Functionalities in the app are not changed or added. The starting price for the app is €5.995,-.
If you would like for us to make special adjustments to the standard app this will be treated as a project.
- How does the shared AR application work and what does it cost?
In the shared application, you get your own folder with the models you have chosen. These models are covered by the StickyLock AR app. A subscription costs € 995 per year.
- How does the AR scanner app work and what does it cost?
With the AR scanner app, you can scan a QR code. The application starts in the background, after which the requested models can be placed in the room. Just like the shared application, this costs € 995 per year.
What is the difference between the shared application and the native application?
When you choose a shared application. You get a special folder with all your models in the StickyLock app. When you choose your own application, you really get your own app with your logo and the desired name.
Why is using the AR app better than an AR application in my website?
We hear this question all too often: “Why don't you build the AR application in our website? That is much easier!” The problem is that the models, you pay for to have made, can be used very simply for others. The models that we put in the app are encrypted and cannot be used by other companies or people!
What are the costs of developing a model?
The costs vary enormously and depend on the complexity of the model and on your requirements and wishes. Prices vary from € 30 to a couple thousand euros.
VIRTUAL REALITY
What is Virtual Reality?
Virtual Reality (also known as VR) is a technology where it seems like you step into another reality by putting on VR glasses. Thanks to 3D effects, the full 360-degree image and the fact that you are completely cut off from the world, it seems as if you are in the middle of another world!
How does VR work?
By putting on VR glasses you are cut off from the real world. By using film and sound it then seems as if you are really in a different world.
How can I apply VR?
You must experience Virtual Reality to find out what the possibilities are. With the use of VR, you can put the viewer in a completely different world and the possibilities are endless, whether it is an interactive tour of your company, a walk through a future city park or experiencing a special historical event.
Why should I use VR?
VR provides the user with a crushing experience because of the feeling that you are in a different environment, creating a lasting memory. Furthermore, VR is easy to use for training purposes and it is possible to connect with people all over the world.
GAMIFICATION
What is Gamification?
Gamification is defined as the application of game technology in non-game environments to motivate its users or to stimulate behavioral change, for example. Gamification is remarkably successful in learning new ways of working or achieving goals in the workplace and in education.
What is a Serious Game?
A Serious Game is a game with a different purpose than entertainment. Serious Games are used to learn and promote behavioral change. Serious gaming is used, for example, in education and healthcare. With Serious Gaming you can combine learning strategies, knowledge, and structures to learn specific skills.
How can I apply Serious Gaming?
Serious Gaming is largely used for various purposes. Think of so-called "change processes" and matters such as training, education, recruitment, selection and relationship marketing.
Why should I use a Serious Game?
By using a Serious Game, you can immediately see results and receive or give feedback. Colleagues are also inclined to make more informed choices because they have a moment to think and do not have to react immediately. Of course, it is also possible to train for a quick and direct response. Serious Gaming can also ensure that you gain new insights that are immediately applicable in real life! In addition, you can continue to practice and train situations, without the need for physical objects.
What is the difference between Gamification and Serious Gaming?
Serious games use complete game applications, so it really is a complete game. Gamification uses game elements in an existing process and is therefore not a complete game. Serious Games also often take place outside the work setting, with analogies, while Gamification makes use of the well-known work setting. Finally, the effects of Serious Games are fictional; because you have learned how to act in situation A in the game, you can translate / recognize this in situation B in the work setting. The effects of Gamification have a direct influence on the actual business processes, situation A, which has been learned playfully, is situation A in the work setting.
With Gamification you can, for example, think of assembling an IT cabinet in a game. This is the same situation as in the work situation of an IT worker.
Bi Serious Games you can think of mini games about cleaning up waste. This ultimately leads to a cleaner workspace.
